Break down of what I want to see in my assignment-
1. 2 countries that share A multinational Company(Mac Donalds)
2. The practices of the multinational company in both countries (different continents) should be compared (practices linked to performance should also be compared)
3. The comparison should be on 1 HR department.
4. Life cycle approach should be included where relevant ( Geocentric, regiocentric , polycentric & ethnocentric)
5. GLOBE Approach should be adopted in the work too (9 dimensions) (will send a slide with reference to this)
6. I’ll send another slide and label it slide for number 6. It should be used to illustrate values across cultural knowledge in the work.
7. 80% of reference should be academic Journals & articles while 20% should be books and internet sources.
8. Cultural & institutional drivers of HRM structure should be present in each section.
9. Where there is a photo or chart , add it to the main work & NOT the appendix.
10. Appendix should have cultural details about the HR context of the 3 countries.
11. Countries should be in different continents.
12. Structure is extremely important & it should be arranged as follows
i. Title
ii. Abstract ( 200-300 words)
iii. Table of content
iv. Introduction
v. Main body ( should be organised in sections & sub sections)
vi. Recommendation
vii. Conclusion
viii. Reference
ix. Appendix.
13. Abstract should give the main conclusion about the analysis
14. With the recommendation, think like a HR consultant , what will you recommend to various HR companies to follow to apply to their practices ?
15. Recommendation should be 3 in number and should be extremely specific – what is the specific aspect of the culture ? What are the specific institutional drivers that can create a problem in the specific aspect you’re writing about and how do you recommend to avoid it ?
16. It is extremely important that the capitalist theories is included. How it came to be, compare the capitalist system within the countries being written about as they are different , don’t just argue with cultural points , argue if a country fits into which variety of capitalist economy and justify with references.
17. With the conclusion- summarise main points here. No need for references in the conclusion.
