2). Who is the audience for your proposal? Why? What are the special concerns of this audience?
3). What medium or genre will you use for your proposal? (Web page, memo, printed document,

4). What are sources you will consult? That is, what specific knowledge do you need to
incorporate to identify and describe the gap to fill and to articulate the precise nature of the
solution? Do you need to do research? Do you need to conduct primary source research (surveys,
interviews)? Secondary source research (online databases of sales, market players, market
conditions, international markets, product descriiptions, etc.)?
5). Put into outline form the possible way to order the material in the body of your paper. Think,
that is, of possible headers and sub-headers. This outline may demand that you identify important
