The directions, which can be found in attached files:
1. Event from childhood: being told I was adopted in the second grade. I remember telling my peers in class and no one believed me. “No you’re not!” They said while laughing.  The way it effected me was it made me feel like there was something wrong with me. I didn’t understand why my biological parents gave me up for adoption.
2. Event from Adolescence: my mom pulled over on the side of the street and told me and brother they were getting divorced. I was 11yo. My brother was 9. In the moment and several years after it didn’t really effect me. However, later in life, when it came down to getting married and settling down, it did. I waited till I was 30 to get married.
3. Adulthood: when I was 25yo my dad passed away suddenly from a heart attach in his sleep. When I couldn’t get in touch with him I started calling friends in his area where he lived to see if he was home based off the number of cars in his driveway. I then called his mechanic who confirmed he had his carb that’s when I knew, my dad was inside the house. I called a friend to break in my dads house and he confirmed my worst thoughts. I was best friends with my dad. It was an extremely hard loss.
4. The loss of my grandfather: I was a rising senior in high school. I had decided to take classes that summer to get ahead. My dad came home to tell me, his dad, my grandfather had passed away at the beach. I was close with my grandfather and his passing had a huge impact on me. I didn’t know how to grieve that loss. I asked for help but my mom basically told me to suck it up. Because I didn’t grieve this loss it made my fathers passing that much more out of control or chaotic.
