Literature Review Assignment
For this assignment, you will prepare a draft (and final draft) of a literature review. This assignment will consist of the following steps:
Step 1: The first step in writing your literature review will be to identify your topic. For this module, you will expand on the topic that you worked on in Module 3. The research question for your topic is found below:
Empirical Research Question: WHAT IS THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN SOCIAL MEDIA USE AND LONELINESS IN
ADOLESCENTS?

Step 2: Identify at least 5 empirical research articles related to this topic. If you recall from your PSY 360 course, empirical articles are research articles that report the findings of previously conducted research. These articles must have the following sections: Introduction/literature review, method, results, discussion and references. The articles that you select must be no older than 2018.
Step 3: Use the attached literature review outline to organize and summarize each of your articles. You must discuss each article in a separate paragraph and discuss each article in chronological order. What this means is that you will summarize a 2018 article before you discuss a 2019 article. If several articles have the same year, then this rule is not necessary.
Step 4: Once you have summarized each of your 5 articles, your final paragraph is the conclusion. Review the literature review outline for details.
Step 5: Be sure to proofread your literature review to make sure that you have used proper grammar, spelling and punctuation. Additionally, you must include proper APA in-text citations in the body of your paper as well as an APA title page and an APA reference list page. Please be sure to follow the sample that is attached.
Key Points: Your paper must conform to the following standards:
3-5 pages in length
