This is the Final assessment item for BX3174.

Introduction
This is a reflective assessment requiring significant work to plan, research, reflect and write. Develop your workplan now. Starting the assessment a few days before it is due is a formula for failure.
As a minimum, consider the reflection questions, complete all self-assessment activities, conduct necessary research, develop your personal plan to continue your leadership development and thoughtfully consider your personal approach to leadership through your career.

Context
As a reflective leader it is important to be able to evaluate your own capabilities and learning processes. In assessment one you were required to consider experiences, skills, and knowledge you already had coming into this subject and your expectations for what you hoped to learn in this subject. You were also encouraged to consider the industry and/or career that you planned on undertaking in your future.
Aim
The aim of this assessment is to allow you to Critically Reflect on your learning of leadership. You will accomplish this by reflecting on:
your initial reflections of leadership and management in assessment one
subject content
develop your own meanings of key concepts/topics.
apply subject content to your own context and
Discuss your APPROACH to leadership for your professional career.

Requirement One
Your reflection should be informed by the learning activities/experiences of the subject. Develop a reflective essay to accomplish the following:
Reflect upon how your knowledge and skills have changed compared to when you started this subject.
What are the key learnings that you took away from this subject? You might reflect on any ‘aha moments’ that occurred or ‘moments of clarity.
Provide explicit examples of key learnings. You might want to consider the Learning Outcomes (see Subject Outline) and key readings to support your findings.
Support your response with appropriate peer-reviewed literature references to evidence your argument.

Describe and discuss your approach to leadership (that is, how you intend to practice) because of completing this subject and because of your changed knowledge.

What is Reflective Writing?
Reflective writing aims to get you to think about and understand your learning experiences. It encourages Tacit (unarticulated, ‘as yet unspoken’) knowledge to become Explicit (captured in words, writing and drawings, knowledge that has possibilities of being universal, supporting the capacity to act across contexts) knowledge.
‘Tacit and explicit knowledge interact so that an individual might, for example, shift understanding between a task and the tools, reflect on his or her own experiences, use language to remind him or herself of what he or she already knows, thematise certain circumstances and discuss these with others’ Tsoukas,(2003) p 802.
Specifically, you will be reflecting on your thinking, before, during and after the writing, pondering on progress and how to improve, Silby and Watts (2015) p.803.
What does Critically Reflect mean?
Critical reflection is a reasoning process to make meaning of an experience. Critical reflection is descriptive, analytical, and critical, and can be articulated in several ways such as in written form, orally, or as an artistic expression.
What does Critical Thinking mean?
The objective analysis and evaluation of an issue to form a judgement.
What is a Reflective Essay?
A reflective essay is an essay in which the writer examines his or her experiences. The writer then writes about those experiences, exploring how he or she has changed, developed, or grown from those experiences.
