Students will write about one of their favorite musical piece (appropriate language and youtube clip of performance).  Must include musical terminology such as: timbre, dynamics, tempo, harmony, historical background about the artist/musical piece, information on the musical genre that influenced it.  Time stamps for referencing parts.  Philosopher’s views on music can be included to support why it impacts the student. Possibly why they think this art should be celebrated globally.   Specific moments should be referenced and time stamps given from selected musical piece.  Must include citation with reference to books, articles, videos.  At minimum two pages long.  12 point font.  Five musical moments with time stamps should be analyzed using terminology we’ve studied in class.
