Assessment criteria: How well does the essay develop a clear and convincing argument in relation to the topic explored? To what extent does the essay demonstrate an advanced understanding of the field, drawn from extensive background research and sustained reflection? How advanced is the evaluation and synthesis of scholarly debates? How well does the essay employ scholarly sources, incorporating quotations into the flow of the argument and assessing their relevance? How well presented, structured referenced is the essay with respect to the Style Guide? Please note this a master level paper therefore the amount of work and effort required in order to obtain a high mark is much bigger.
