The Florida Power and Light exercise is about a Total Quality Management team at work .
The exercise makes use of some common techniques of group problem-solving. These are ways of breaking down a problem, identifying the root causes, and organizing the search for solutions. There’s no shortcut: you have to work through the problem and analyze it.
For the assignment, answer three questions in the body of the case. Go through the exercise individually, stopping to answer each question before continuing. As you do this, try to imagine what it would be like to be on the team.
