2. Compare and contrast each one of the options for correcting a labor surplus: layoffs, pay reduction, job-sharing, and retraining/transferring employees (pg. 139 textbook). Find a past real-world SPECIFIC example of each option that wasn’t included in the textbook, including the company and year(s) used.
3. Fully describe the three types of fit that companies should look for in the selection process and discuss why each one is important (pg. 189 textbook). Give two hypothetical examples of EACH type that weren’t discussed in the textbook and why it may be important for that PARTICULAR position in that PARTICULAR company.
