In, “Applying the writing process in an upper elementary classroom,” Example 2 allows a student the opportunity to break down and reword text from Rosie’s Walk. For this week, create a similar exercise for your science students. First, choose a MS CCRS. Next, find reputable text from a scientific article or textbook. Choose 3-5 sentences from the text. Include the original text taken directly from the literature (make sure to save the reference). Then create a “frame” similar to Example 2. Finally, create an example key with a possible student’s answer. A science example is given below. Do not use my framework or example.
