Imagine you are a successful corporate development consultant and the new Managing Directors of
TENTACLE Outdoor Ltd. ask you to provide strategic advice to the company. One of your first tasks is to
design an innovation plan. Apply Tidd and Bessant´s simplified model of the innovation process to
develop:
• a new product,
• a new service, or
• a new business process.
Select only one of these options and choose a concrete example to argue comprehensibly which
activities and measurements (KPIs) need to be implemented.
The innovation plan should consist of the following:

The Managing Directors have a short attention span, they do not want a lecture on theory in detail. They
need to know the facts from the field and therefore the report must contain the most important
information so that they can evaluate the above points and make strategic decisions.
