Referring back to Mello text, Chapter 12, Labor Relations, Dowling, et al. text, Chapter 9, International Industrial Relations and the Global Institutional Context, and the article on Ethics in Labor Relations, please do the following:
(a) Analyze your current organization’s labor workforce. Please share the percentage of workers that are represented by a union and those not represented. For this discussion forum, discuss why workers unionize and the costs and benefits of unionization. Make sure to address how the SBP works as a company representative during the unionization process.
(b) Discuss how offshoring work through multinational organizations presents challenges to trade unions and workers alike.
(c) Using the article posted this week called Ethics article on Labor Relations for Discussion, please answer the following questions:
1. What are the ethical issues in this situation?
2. What do you think most HR managers would do in this situation? What would you do?
