student must not be a performer in the concert.

Before you view the video of your choice, read over these questions. Keep them in mind as you watch the concert. Afterward, consider which of these questions seems the most interesting to you or the most pertinent to your video.
What kinds of musicians are there? Note instrumentation, number of musicians, types of musicians, etc.
What music are the musicians performing? What songs? What types of songs? What genres and styles are represented in the musical selections? Consider this in light of our studies and the ways in which we’ve isolated specific musical traditions that have certain stylistic characteristics.
Where is this performance taking place? Look around and pay careful attention to your surroundings: how do they relate to what this event is meant to accomplish and how the music is meant to be consumed? This set of questions might make less sense at first, but come back to it and reconsider it in light the other observations I’ve asked you to make on this handout.
What expectations do there seem to be about audience participation? In what ways are the musicians communicating with the audience members, beyond just playing music? To what extent do your observations on this relate to the kind of music and musicians at this event?
What is the audience like? How are they dressed? What demographic groups and social categories do they seem to represent? Are they standing, seated, or both? Are audience members doing other things besides viewing and listening to performers (such as eating, multitasking, dancing, socializing, etc.)? How do these things seem related, if at all, to the type of music and musicians at this event?
Do any songs particularly capture your attention? What makes them interesting or compelling to you?
Then, write a report between two and three full pages in length (no longer, no shorter) that addresses two or more of these questions. Write your paper using clear writing and good grammar and spelling. Use complete sentences, and organize those sentences in paragraphs. Each paragraph should elaborate on some main idea, clearly expressed. Write thoughtfully, showing that you have considered the issues I raised above. Write well, showing professionalism and attention to detail.
