On YouTube or another video sharing service, find a music video for a song by one of the artists discussed in the unit on the 1980s (but not a song that we have covered or that is covered in the book).
Write at least 600 words (2-3 pages, double spaced) about the video and how it impacts the meaning of the song. Some videos are very simple, others are highly elaborate. How does what you see on the screen affect what you hear? If the video tells a story, does that story conform to that told by the lyrics of the song? Why or why not? Does a video that simply features a performer playing onstage focus your attention differently than a story or a barrage of seemingly random images?
