You may choose one of the following for your final project: (duration is about 2-3 minutes)
1. A composition or arrangement created with engraving software: Must include a printed score, parts, and an audio file. The score and parts must be professionally formatted and performance ready. Orchestration should be for no less than a trio and no more than a septet. The audio file can be a performance recording or a MIDI rendering.
2. A composition or recording created using a DAW: Either a multi-track, multi-instrument composition using MIDI, synthesis, audio, and sampling. Or a multi-track recording of a performance. Or a combination of the two. Each option must use processing and effects and be mixed for balance, stereo spread, and depth. Projects must include original synth patches, sampler instruments, and audio tracks if applicable.
3. A music education project of your choice which utilizes digital editing, MIDI and/or MIDI sequencing. Some possibilities are, creating backing tracks for a student to practice with, creating warm up routines and drills using finale, creating skill level appropriate arrangements of pieces for a student.
