Please used the attached to create powerpoint and use the powerpoint presentation attached to enter information.
Imagine you work as an HR professional for the company you selected in the first assignment in Week 3. The company has been having issues with their current performance evaluation process. Some of the issues include the data collection process, proper documentation, and making appropriate decisions on employee performance. Your manager has asked you to evaluate and update their current performance evaluation process and present it as a training module to a group of new supervisors in your organization. Apply the revised or improved evaluation process to the specific job you created in the Week 3 assignment. Note that your manager has asked you to present the new process in the form of a PowerPoint presentation.
Instructions
Based on what you know about performance evaluations, use the Strayer Library or the Internet to research and select a performance evaluation tool that you believe is best suited for your company. Create a PowerPoint presentation with speaker’s notes to present this new tool to new supervisors. In your presentation:
Explain the benefits of using performance evaluations.
Assess the existing performance evaluation used in the organization.
Create a sample of the performance evaluation tool you selected for your company.
Justify the selection of the performance evaluation tool.
Develop a detailed, step-by-step description of the evaluation process.
The PowerPoint presentation should be a minimum of 10 slides and their corresponding speaker’s notes, in addition to a title slide and references slide. Include graphics as needed to improve, enhance, or clarify the content.
Note: The numbered assignment requirements outlined above correspond to the grading criteria in the assignment scoring guide, so be sure to address each point.
Format
This course requires the use of Strayer Writing Standards. For assistance and information, please refer to the Strayer Writing Standards link in the left-hand menu of your course. Check with your professor for any additional instructions.
The specific course learning outcome associated with this assignment is:
Create a performance evaluation process, including the benefits, type of performance evaluation, evaluation tool, and process steps.
Dr. Vic’s TIPS!
Dr. Vic’s Guidance and TIPS: This assignment is very straightforward and will include concepts from throughout the entire class. This assignment deals with the job [from the job description] you created in Week 3, basically – you need to specifically include and expand on material from your first paper assignment from Week 3 (again, Job Description). Also, as the assignment instructions (above) indicate, you need to research and select an evaluation tool frequency (i.e. annual, real-time, quarterly or other), and then discuss the step-by-step process for conducting the evaluation – you MUST include speakers notes along with written material on your slides (Speakers Notes are a feature within MS Power Point – please look-up how to use this feature if you are not familiar with it – Speaker Notes ARE REQUIRED WITHIN THIS ASSIGNMENT) And, please address each of the bullet points above on rationale, instruments used and process.
Basically, you will want to read/review Ch. 10 material again (from our Week 5 readings), please make sure you understand the process and purpose of employee evaluations. Also, pay particular attention to p.p. 307-310 and Figure 1.1 within those pages for a list of basic approaches on performance management – you can use this info within your presentation along with supporting external research material. And you need to identify a performance management tool (likely a software package, like, Oracle, SAP, workday, etc. [see this site for more: https://technologyadvice.com/employee-performance-management/ ] here is a link to a pfd of this site: ).
Please address each of the 1-5 items listed in the instructions, but essentially you need to: include material on the purpose of performance management / evaluations p.p. 303-304, criteria for effective performance management p.p. 305-307, and discuss methods for performance management pp. 307-313, select a tool and discuss and finally discuss the entire process you have outlined.
Please keep in mind, you are creating a Power Point presentation intended to be shown to a new group fo supervisors at your place of work (as discussed in your Week 3 paper).
Finally, pay special attention to Ch. 9 and specifically the section on HRM’s Contribution to High Performance, starting on page 282 of our book. Also, pay attention to figure 9.3 Employee Performance as a Process material on page 283. If you do all of this, you should have no problem creating ten slides with speakers notes.
