will arrange a short response (12 complete sentences). You may
determine the overall paragraph arrangement however you MUST include all
of the following parts.
Topic sentence–you will begin your short
response by arranging an opening sentence; you should include the
relevant “Art Titles”, artists, and art periods.
Art Style—distinguish from the progression of
artistic style characteristics developed during the Early Renaissance,
High Renaissance and the later Baroque period.
Objective descriptions—describe each of the 3
“David” sculptures using relevant art vocabulary (key terms such as
Elements of Art and/or Principles of Design). You must emphasize new
parts NOT covered in the first section of the Mastery 4 (do NOT copy any
of the details as given.)
Artists—summarize the most impressive facts,
biographical details about the lives of each of the 3 sculptors (the
Artists!); how they worked and who they were. Gather these details from
valid online sources, you must distinguish each artist by name
beginning with Donatello, and then Michelangelo, and lastly Bernini.
Cite your sources after your conclusion.
Concluding sentence—you will end/close with a short conclusion; one sentence.
Format:
Double-spacing, 12 point font size, Times New Roman or Arial font styles.
Capitalization, correct spelling, paragraph
indentation, sentence arrangement and punctuation. Sentence
arrangement–to arrange a progression, insert/use sentence enhancers
such as: First,…then,…and lastly. Or, first, next, and finally.
For all art titles add “quotation marks” or underline.
Citation page—list your source(s) using proper citation below your Conclusion.
Your short response must be well-written, thoughtful, original and well-organized.
