Please choose ONE of the following topics for your final paper. If there is another subject that interests you, please let me know and we can shape a specialized paper topic. Your response must be at least 1000 words. Presentation will be taken into consideration and you will lose 20 points for excessive grammar and spelling errors. Please note that I will not read any late papers. Please look at the links I have provided for correct MLA citations and works cited. Any research must be properly documented.
Before you turn in your final paper please go to the Final Paper Module and look at the Writing Workshop and Tips for Writing Papers. Also look at the rubric. This will give you important information. You must have at least four sources for your paper, and they cannot be Wikipedia or an Encyclopedia. You need to use databases such as JStor–which is available on the Saddleback Library website–to source scholarly articles and books. This is a semester long paper and you are meant to source scholarly work. These sites are fine for general information, but they do not count towards your sources. Please let me know if you have questions.
I am using Turnitin, so be very mindful that you are using proper MLA citations in the body of the text. It is not enough to just have a works cited page. If you use phrases that are not original, you MUST use quotation marks and properly cite the source. Turnitin has access to millions of databases, and I get a “similarity” report that is extensive. If you are unclear about what constitutes plagiarism please contact me and we can discuss in a Zoom meeting.
Please submit your essay directly on Canvas and avoid using attachments. This will make it much easier for all concerned. I will not download any file attachment to my computer.
