your paper should be a minimum of 6 pages- typed, double-spaced, 12 font Times New Roman (and do not take up a paragraph space for your heading- works cited page does not count in the min. page requirement). Lastly, works cited page is never included for the minimum page requirement. (4-5 DIFFERENT REFERENCES in the works cited pages) should be consistent all the way through whether it be Chicago, Harvard Style, APA etc. format – just make sure it is a consistent format throughout the paper.
NO MATTER WHICH TOPIC YOU PROPOSE OR SELECT – you must use the theoretical frameworks of at least 2 theorists min.- max 3 from your lectures/textbook.
FOR YOUR 4-5 different references – WHICHEVER THEORIST YOU CHOOSE TO DISCUSS IN YOUR PAPER – GO TO THE ACTUAL SOURCE. Ex. “The Looking Glass Self” – find the actual articles/text authored by Charles Cooley and cite Cooley directly – DO NOT cite a different author that interprets Cooley for you and DO NOT use our course text or my lecture to cite from – GO TO THE SOURCE – find the author/scholar who wrote about conflict theory (for ex. C. Wright Mills’ articles).

Who are you online? What processes are involved in creating a social media presence/persona? Are you more or less ‘real’ online? Are you more real online than in person? Why or why not? Who is your audience online? How do you maintain your audience? How do you know what and what not to post online? Have you changed the presentation of your online self over the years versus the past presentation? How? Why?
Who are you? What are the forces at work and/or in your past life that have created you? Are there groups and/or people that you feel more ‘authentic’ around? Are you aware of the forces that are currently shaping you? How many statuses and roles do you juggle in life? Do all of your work, friend, family groups know each other or do you keep those relationships separate? Have you become a new human being altogether in this life? How many lives or people have you become in one lifetime?
