Your essay should be at least 5 pages and 1,500 to 2,100 words  in length in the Humanities format. Your essay MUST include a counter-argument.
Respond to one of the following prompts:
1) Analyze the relationships between Aeneas and the three key female figures: Creusa, Dido, and Lavinia, through the lens of their potential roles as matriarchs in the nascent Roman society. Consider how Virgil portrays these women in light of the expectations of a Roman matrona (matron). To what extent do their actions and fates diverge from or align with Roman ideals of womanhood? Further, evaluate whether Virgil uses these characters to critique, uphold, or subtly question Roman family values and gender norms.
2) In The Aeneid, Virgil leads Aeneas through a tapestry of Mediterranean societies, each with its own characteristics and values. Focusing on two of these locales that Aeneas encounters on his voyage, analyze how they serve as foils to Rome, both in their societal structure and moral values. Discuss why these cities or societies, despite their potential, could not replace Rome as Aeneas’s ultimate destination. How do these contrasts underscore the unique destiny and virtues of Rome as envisioned by Virgil?
3) Re-examine the games chapter in The Aeneid not as a mere diversion but as a pivotal narrative element with deeper significance to the epic’s themes and Aeneas’s journey. Analyze how the games reflect on the values and future aspirations of the Roman people. Consider the symbolism of the events and outcomes, and how they might prefigure the challenges and triumphs of the Roman state. What does Virgil communicate through this episode about competition, honor, and the social bonds that tie a community together?
Below I have attached “The Aeneid” and writing handbook whihc will guide you what exactly is expected from the essay and each paragraph and citation everything. Each paragrapgh should be close to a page long at least but not longer than a page. There should be three body paragraphs with each having at least two cited quotes from The Aeneid as evidence. 1 Counterarguement to anyone of the body paragraphs with again 1-2 cited quotes from The Aeneid and then fiunally the conclusion. Please choose one of the three prompts from above and go through the handbook as I really need an A in this assignment. I’ll tip extra if I get over 90%.
