Read any of the materials in the above search.
You may use the knowledge of other sources as well. I have other links under the “lecture” tab; you may seek out your own. PLEASE MAKE SURE you cite the CODE of ETHICS in the answers that address the ethics of social work. Also, please cite other sources that support your answers to the questions for the reflection paper.
Thank you
Write a responsive 1-2 page paper answering the following questions. You may number the questions on your reflections paper, but again, I expect at the graduate level at least a 1-2 page content submission. You need to cite to support your answers. These are NOT OPINIONS. The answers are based on laws and ethics.
Please make sure to have a cover page and reference page.
1. Can the illegal transplant of organs involving a transaction between a paying recipient and a seller of organs be considered a ‘victimless’ crime? Why or Why not? What if a broker is involved?
2. Can medical professionals, specifically social workers involved in transplant procedures, be held liable through the knowledge alone?
3. Should medical staff, specifically social workers, involved in follow-up care of patients who have purchased organs be held accountable if they fail to alert health and/or legal authorities?
When answering these three questions, you need to consider AND CITE the Social Work Code of Ethics and the Social Work Values.
This may not be as easy of an assignment as you may think at first glance.
