you will develop a prevention presentation focusing on child maltreatment prevention programs. You will create a PowerPoint presentation of your own prevention program. You can choose your presentation to be for children/the classroom (please provide the grade/age range it is for), parents, teachers, or a combination of any of the above. Use what you learned from researching the two programs you summarized for Assignment #2 to help you and give you ideas to develop this presentation. Here are a few ideas of topics: 1) teaching 1st graders safe touching vs not safe touching, 2) sharing with teachers signs to look out for child neglect and what to do if you notice the signs, 3) teaching parents how to keep their child safe and supported if they disclose abuse. Make sure if you choose a younger population, the presentation is developmentally appropriate. You may need to do additional research to help you with this project.
The presentation should be approximately 15-20 slides, not including the title and reference slides.
you will create a prevention program presentation:
Include who the presentation is for in your title slide (e.g., age/grade level if or children)
Include an agenda/outline of what you will cover in the 2nd slide of your presentation.
Include a reference page in the last slide of your presentation.
