You must come up with any health issue that is related to gender or sex, and must come up with
ONE unique idea that is not awareness to address this issue.
You must write your paper using the following format:
1. Introducing your health issue
Here you must describe the health issue, with epidemiology and justifications for
Why it’s an important topic.
2. What you propose to do
Assuming you have no financial limitations, what do you propose to do to solve
this problem?
How does your proposed initiative compare to already existing programs?
3. How do you propose to do what you propose?
Who will you help? population/ geographical region/ sex/ age etc.?
What will you provide?
What will be the expected result?
4. What obstacle/s do you anticipate?
Why are these obstacles present?
What do you propose to do to counteract these obstacles?
You will be assessed on the following criteria:
Creativity: I want you to think outside the box, and consider longevity and sustainability.
Clarity: Part of your grade will be on how effectively you communicate your points. Avoid long
winded explanations, keeps your points succinct.
Structure & flow: your essay should have an easy flow, meaning it should be easy to follow
and understand. Linking points and paragraphs are suggested.
Evidence: All points that are made should be backed up by evidence. The more evidence you
use the more trustworthy your arguments are. Try and rely on statistics and evidence from
journal articles and UN papers. You are expected to have a minimum of 5 relevant references. It
is not enough to give statistics or mention papers, you MUST explain the significance of your
evidence and how it helps your points.
