You may use PowerPoint or Google Slides to prepare your presentation. The presentation should be a minimum of 10-12 slides in length and include the following sections:
Title Slide should include the following:
the name of the geological wonder
an image of the geological wonder
your name
The presentation body slides should include the following information:
The geological significance in 2 – 3 sentences.
At least one image of the whole geological wonder.
Images that demonstrate the unique features of this geological wonder.
Location of the geological wonder.
Include a map that designates where the geological wonder is located.
If it is located in the USA, then the state and nearest city should be listed.
If it is located outside of the USA, then the name of the country should be listed.
An explanation of how the geological wonder formed using terminology that you learned about in Physical Geology(new site), in at least 3 – 4 sentences.
The material(s) that the geological wonder is made of in at least 2 – 3 sentences.
A description of the processes that led to the formation of the geological wonder in at least 2 – 3 sentences. These processes could include:
wind or water erosion
volcanic activity
weathering
deposition
plate tectonics
When these processes are thought to have taken place in a minimum of two sentences.
How long it took for the geological wonder to form.
The final slide should include a list of at least three references in APA format (including your Physical Geology text).
All responses must be in your own words. Please make sure you do not copy and paste from outside sources as this is considered non-academic behavior.
Remember to use citations in the body slides when and where appropriate.
