Now that you have had a bit more practice, you will expand your searching capabilities to other nursing databases. RefWorks is an online bibliographic database that allows users to collect and manage citations to use in personal and collaborative research. RefWorks helps generate and format reference lists according to APA format (or other formats if needed). This assignment will guide you through the process of using RefWorks. Be sure to note the characteristics of each database you select as this information will be helpful to you in future use. Refer to the Course Schedule for the due date.
Getting Started
Create an account at UA RefWorks.
Review the https://guides.lib.ua.edu/RefWorks/RefWorks for additional help.
View the RefWorks Video Tutorials located on the UA RefWorks homepage to learn about citing sources and creating bibliographies. These tools will become essential as a student at CCN for assignments in this class and subsequent classes.
Directions
Select the Reference Management title link above and select View Rubric for the grading criteria.
Search and save one diabetes article from three different nursing databases to your RefWorks account.
(Example: one from CINAHL, one from PubMed, and one from Cochrane).
Capture and paste a screenshot of your work into your Word document. This should be one screenshot of your imported articles in RefWorks.
Briefly summarize each article.
Write your RefWorks bibliography formatted in APA (7th ed.) below the screenshot.
Add the name of the database at the end of each citation in parentheses so it can be graded.
Save your assignment as yourname-ref-management.
Submit your assignment as an attachment by selecting the title link above.
