You are to create a 5-day Teacher Intern Assessment Instrument (TIAI) unit (5 lesson plans).  The unit should include a pre and post-assessment.  The topic and grade level should be based on the area in which you are seeking licensure. Please use the following directions and scoring guides for this assignment based on whether you are considered elementary or secondary.  The unit must be developed on the DSU TIAI template and should be submitted via Canvas as a Microsoft Word document.
(This is the rubric that will be used to grade your work.  Be sure that you have included all of the parts on this form.)
This is the template you will use to type your TIAI on.
The TIAI unit consists of 5 lesson plans (one for each day of the week for one class period each day) for a single subject area (math, science, social studies, language arts/reading, art, or P.E./health) and a single topic that is broad enough for you to develop 5 different lessons plans on it.  Your TIAI needs to include your 5 lesson plans, a pre and post-assessment, and the attachments for each lesson.  Attachments are the materials you will use to accompany your lesson plans.  Examples of attachments: PowerPoint presentation, pictures, graphic organizers, and assessments with answer keys.
Supplemental Materials and Information: View all of this information before beginning the assignment. Also, be sure to watch the TIAI Instruction Video before beginning your TIAI!
Multiple Intelligences:  These are areas in which people are “intelligent:” One of these must be referenced in your TIAI.
Linguistic intelligence (“word smart”)
Logical-mathematical intelligence (“number/reasoning smart”)
Spatial intelligence (“picture smart”)
Bodily-kinesthetic intelligence (“body smart”)
Musical intelligence (“music smart”)
Interpersonal intelligence (“people smart”)
Intrapersonal intelligence (“self smart”)
Naturalist intelligence (“nature smart”)
Enrichment Objectives:  Objectives for students who are performing at higher levels (more challenging objectives)
Remedial Objectives:  Objectives for lower-performing students (usually an objective that includes basic knowledge the student may need before working towards the objective written for everyone)
