Year-End Written Report:
Written reports are part of the requirements for this course. You will apply concepts to be taught through course work to a topic / project of your choosing. Each student will be required to prepare a report of major findings of their topic.
Project Objective:
The final written report is intended to provide an opportunity for further investigation of the course concepts.
Year-End Written Report:
The report will require a review or “position piece” on a specific area of Operations Management and the literature in that area. All areas of Operations Management in the textbook are fair game. Students are required to locate and use additional sources about their topic—this would be in the form of background reading in addition to the text book. Regurgitating or summarizing a Chapter in the book is considered average work and will be graded that way. Stretch your thinking and come up with something creative.
Project Report:
A minimum of 1700-word (no limit on maximum) written project report is due on or before May 6, 2024 11:59 pm.
Final Report:
Reports will be evaluated for such factors as:
– Clarity defining a problem/deficiency in selected subject with supporting data
– Providing case-originated, practical operations management recommendations
– Accuracy of discussion
– Comprehensiveness of the paper’s content and depth of analysis
– Clarity and mechanics of presentation such as organization, format, and grammar
