Write the transcript for this project:
POLICY SKILLS LIBRARY: VIDEO DEMONSTRATION + HANDOUT
The Policy Skills Library is a collection of demonstrations of policy skills from students across sections of SLWK 606. The Policy Skills Library is accessible to all SLWK 606 students and should be used as an invaluable resource for learning about relevant material that goes beyond our course content.
This assignment involves peer teaching, professionalism, and accuracy. You will develop a 6 minute video demonstration of a skill to be shared to the Policy Skills Library. You are welcome to choose from a range of strategies or topics as long as it is relevant to the policy practitioner.  You are required to take this assignment further than the assigned course readings, but feel free to use them as a jumping off point.
WHAT IS THE FINAL PRODUCT?
You’ll create a video with closed captioning, handout including references, title, keywords, description, and a signed consent form, all documented in a Google Form.
For information on creating a high quality video, review this tips sheet.Links to an external site.
What makes a good topic? This video covers how to choose a good topic.Links to an external site.
What goes in the video? Explain the skill in detail, relate it to the course material and to the policy process, and demonstrate how it can be applied to a specific group of people, in a specific scenario, or some other form of application and demonstration. Bring in material from additional sources (you’ll have to since this is going beyond the course material). You must include closed captioning or a transcript of the video for accessibility purposes.
What goes in the handout? The handout is a professional and visually appealing takeaway item (document, pdf, or Cavna product for example) with the main points and references in APA that were covered in the demonstration. This will be submitted for your classmates to view alongside the video.
Who will see my video?  The video will be available to all students across sections in SLWK 606, including you! Watch them!  You will do a reaction post to videos (see: Skills Response) and will have to include them in your Policy Ecosystem projects.
What if I don’t want to include my face and/or voice in the recording? If you have concerns about sharing your identity in the Policy Skills Library, you have options! Some alternative submission options are to:
Present using a screencasting software with just a voiceover audio track, or slides without audio.
Use an animation tool. Here are some good options. Links to an external site.
Use a multimedia tool like Stop Motion StudioLinks to an external site. to get your information across instead of using your voice or image.
