Information about anorexia nervosa is given in your book, and it’s readily available on the Internet.
- Search the Internet for images of those with Anorexia Nervosa (you can click “images” and put this as a key work in Google (google.comLinks to an external site.). Then, copy and paste the one that was the MOST alarming to you.
Now select your own from the Internet
- Describe what you see in this picture.
- What were some of the thoughts and feelings that you had when searching for these images?
- What do you think is the primary reason that these individuals’ condition progressed to such an extreme level?
Search the Internet (Youtube.comLinks to an external site. has a lot), and find one video that illustrates one person’s experience with Anorexia Nervosa.

- What are some of the thoughts and feelings that you had while watching this clip
- Cut and paste the link to this video here:
Go to youtube.comLinks to an external site. and put in the key word “anorexia friend.” Then, select a clip and then after you have listened to the segment, answer the following questions:
- What comment or concerns expressed by the individuals in the video do you most remember? Why?
- What kind of help do you think family and friends could offer these parents?
- What advice do you have in helping this person recover from anorexia?
