Write an introduction. It needs to, at minimum, include the broad theory in which your research question is situated, and your thesis statement (based on the research question you posted in our earlier assignment)–(this is not a copy and paste of your earlier assignment, you will use that assignment to inform your final write-up). By now, you should be familiar with how thesis statements are written in political science journal articles. Use that approach in your thesis statement. Our focus is on quantitative analysis. Label the section “Introduction” e.g.,:

Here, you write your introduction. Include your broad theory, thesis statement, engage readers.
Then, write a “Data and Methods” section (label it). In this section, you will discuss what datasets you would use. (You do not need to collect the data or analyze it).
You need to clearly describe the data sources, these must be real existing sources.
You need to cite these sources in the “Works Cited”, and to clearly explain what variables you would use and how you would use the data to measure those variables, explain how you would recode those variables in Stata and how you’d clean the data. The data for those variables need to be in the data sources you propose to use. Write this section in the following manner:
Discuss and describe the data source and data you would use.
State your hypothesis.
Describe the variables and how these are measured using the existing data sources, along with any data cleaning details.
Explain how you would test your hypothesis using regression analysis. Why are you using this methodology? What are the advantages and disadvantages of using this methodology? How would could your model be improved? Explain.
Your submission must be no longer than 700 words. Professional writing is concise. Edit your document to stay within the limits. This is one of the challenges of the exercise.
