Write an EXPLANATORY synthesis research essay based on the reading assignments. Please be sure to maintain the basic requirements for the assignment. This assignment should be between 725 and 775 words, typed and double-spaced. The essay should include at least five sources from this class, libguides, or databases.Your essay topic will be raising awareness (about the social justice topic that you select)(Hunger and Food Insecurity). Define your own elements of advocacy (at least three to five). Then, attempt to identify concepts about which one may in fact raise awareness. We will not discuss any readings leading up to the due date because this is an online class, and ain’t nobody got time for that. Read at your own pace, but work hard and often. If you are reading this before reading any of the previous articles, please drop this class because you will fail yourself. In your essay, discuss which elements that you define are present in the sources that you selected and simply explain why, but only after clearly defining the elements. Consider the following questions:
How does one’s advocacy compare in certain settings, and cause drama in others?
Does the advocacy come naturally, and if so, in what places and how? In other words, consider if humans have a tendency to rebel against what is unfair, or simply at any opportunity to rebel.
How does rebellion relate to raising awareness?
When does rebellion become deviance? Are they the same?
Remember to research how people generally feel about these concepts to perhaps rationalize why these elements are evident. Also, do not limit yourself to only answering the questions I pose here, consider other perspectives to reveal and synthesize what you think is most obvious about each text you select, especially if you think they improve your ability to convey your ideas in your assignment. If you wish to include your experience with some elements of raising awareness, save it for the conclusion and try not to digress.
Your paper should be typed (using a computer), double-spaced, 12-pt. Times New Roman font. In your essay, you should use evidence from a total of FIVE sources minimum with the following conditions: you must use at least THREE of the assigned readings from this unit, and at least TWO outside sources from your own research using the Libguides or the databases that MCC offers.
