Paper Instructions: Write an analysis paper of the film you select while providing a sociological analysis of these events.
For this project, you will watch a film and apply theories and/or concepts that you have learned in class to analyze topics and themes. Students are allowed to use any and all class material in order to produce their arguments. An analysis paper should include little to no summary of the film you are observing. Instead, the paper should present an argument of the events within the film.
A critical review is a reasoned, evaluative analysis of a movie in which you discuss the movie using as much of your acquired knowledge from class as you can. Better analytical essays offer a clear point of view, are well organized around a main idea (that is reflected in the thesis statement), address opposing arguments, and are thoroughly supported by class sources.
7 pages, double spaced, Times New Roman 12-point font, 1-inch margins.
2-3 direct quotes from the class readings. No QUOTE is allowed to be longer than 3 paragraph lines.
Students are required to use ASA Citations. Use parenthetical citations and include a works cited page. Works cited pages do NOT count toward the page limit or your similarity score.
