Write a summary of the trends in your data: This is a narrative written in compl

April 7, 2024

Write a summary of the trends in your data:
This is a narrative written in complete sentences with paragraphs. This is relatively open-ended in terms of style, though you need to answer all the questions that are in red below. Everyone will have differences in their summary because everyone has a different station in a different climate regime. 2 to 3 pages is an acceptable length (not including the graphs), 1.5 spaced, 11 or 12-point font, standard font type. I am looking for evidence that you are thinking about the data you collected and plotted and that you’re giving a strong effort on this assignment. Please also make sure you indicate where you got your data from and any other research is cited.
Things to discuss are:
The location you chose, why you chose it, and provide any information that will be helpful for introducing the location’s climate.
Did the temperature increase or decrease as the season went on? What were the highest and lowest temperatures and on what specific days?
Is there a trend in the dewpoint, relative humidity and/or precipitation as the season goes on? What is the day with the highest precipitation and what was that value?
How do the three variables of temperature, dew point, and relative humidity compare to each other? (hint : think of the relationship you see between the temperature and dew point lines vs. the relative humidity)
How do these results compare to the climatology that you performed for this location in Week 3 of the course? This will be in the form of a graph and then you will discuss
Was your location below or above average? Recall what an anomaly means.
If you chose a different location than Week 3, how does your data compare to the climatology of your location? This will need further research – meaning you will need to ‘re-do’ the climatology!
Are there any interesting or unusual looking events? Sudden heat? Sudden cold? Sudden moistening or drying? Sudden large precipitation event? Look up if there was a significant weather event for the area – like a tropical cyclone or thunderstorm outbreak
A conclusion wrapping up your project and information shown
I chose Houston, Texas because my father’s family is from there. We even scattered my grandma’s ashes on the plot of their old home which is now demolished.
