This letter should be three or four paragraphs single spaced with a space between each paragraph. Use about 1″ margins for the top, bottom, left, and right of the page, and align the text to the left. Additionally, use Times New Roman, 12 font, follow a business letter format. There will be a resume attached, use this to write your letter.
Pretend that you are a supervisor that has been asked to write a reference letter, in this case for your partner. The first paragraph should explain your relationship to the person you are recommending, and why you are qualified to write the letter on their behalf. Include the name of your company, job, school, or opportunity for which your partner is applying.
The remainder of the letter should include information about your partner, including why they are qualified and what they contribute. Be specific and share examples of why your partner is a qualified candidate. Try to describe qualities and skills that relate to the specific job opportunity.

The supervisor was away for a time and the candidate was able to sufficiently adapt to the position of supervisor very quickly and extremely well.
During the actual supervisors time away, the candidate exercised a level of professionalism beyond satisfactory and was able to manage all the work that needed to be done smoothly. This is why the supervisor is recommending the candidate; they believe they are capable of prioritization, and maintaining what is required of them. They can handle a fast paced environment, chaos as well as advocate for their co workers.
