Hello, these are the guideline for the paper-Write a paper about the film “Black Panther” (2018) AND “Sorry to Bother You” (2018) and explain how we see the similarities and differences between the film and real life when it comes to the BLM Movement, specifically narrow it down to the similarities and differences in America. You must talk about Afrofuturism and the themes of Afrofuturism these films include. Afrofuturism is defined as- a movement in literature, music, art, etc., featuring futuristic or science fiction themes which incorporate elements of black history and culture.You MUST watch these 2 films before starting the paper!
Based on these 2 films, craft an essay discussing your understanding of the
themes in Afrofuturism and their meaning, context and/or effectiveness. You should refer to the
course work and at least two sources—which would include quoting from the works themselves.
(Outside scholarship is required—and article or blog post, for example—but you must discuss at
least one class work.) Be as specific as possible.
