Email assignment
Scenario: You are the managing partner in the local firm of Mueller, Britt and Little, CPAs. It has come to your attention that several employees, both professional and support staff, have recently begun wearing political buttons, displaying political posters in the office, and emailing/instant messaging political jokes and memes via their company email addresses and the in-house IM system.
Directions: Write a memo to all members of your staff explaining that such political activity should cease and explaining why it is inappropriate.

Keep in mind that this may come off as “bad news” or as annoying to some members of your staff. How can you politely maintain professionalism in navigating this tricky subject? What type of subject line will ensure that all staffers read the email?
