In Phase 1, you will select a Fortune 500 Company with at least 500 employees; you may select a company you are familiar with (e.g., your current employer) if your company is sufficiently large. It is imperative that you are able to find sufficient information about this company to complete all project parts.
Once you have selected a company, you will write a 2 PAGE summary which includes a description of the company and its industry, an explanation with your reasons for choosing this company, a description of the existing infrastructure, and the infrastructure’s value to the security of the organization.
Phase 2: Company Evaluation (3-4PAGES)
In Phase 2, you will evaluate the existing IT architectures for the company that you identified in Phase 1. In your submission, report on the existing IT architecture of your chosen company and be sure to explain how your company will benefit from migrating to the cloud, describe how migrating to the cloud will affect your company’s applications, and analyze potential threats and security issues caused by a migration to the cloud. Include your evaluation of required security controls for data and application migration to the cloud. Once your company has migrated to the cloud, identify network monitoring responsibility.
