Write a 2+ page analytical paper focusing on the three texts in the Case Study:

July 4, 2024

Write a 2+ page analytical paper focusing on the three texts in the Case Study: Crows content page. Your paper should analyze how the audience and format of each text impact the structure and content choices made.
Your analysis should include:
body paragraphs that describe 1-2 specific examples of concrete formal choices made in each text (e.g. description of an image, description of headings and subheadings, description of citation style etc.) and analyze those choices based on audience and format
transition sentences between paragraphs that compare/contrast the text you just discussed with the subsequent or previous text
brief introduction and conclusion paragraphs that think about what we can learn and see from analyzing these three texts together than we wouldn’t otherwise notice when thinking about them in isolation
Tips and Suggestions
While you can include evaluative judgements (good/bad/successfully/unsuccessfully), avoid spending too much time evaluating. Focus on analysis, or explaining why a choice makes sense given the audience and purpose (or works against the purpose).
Introduce each text by including the writer’s name and the title in the essay.
When quoting or paraphrasing, make sure it is clear which text the information/language is coming from. If the text has page numbers, include a simple citation by including the page number in parentheses before the end punctuation (3).
Provide context for your quotes and specific examples. Where in the text is this example found? Describe it.
You do not need a citation page as we’re all working with the same texts
Grading
To receive a complete grade, your essay must:
be 2+ properly formatted pages and identify the form and audience of each of the three texts in the Crows content page
describe and analyze 1-2 specific examples of concrete formal choices made in each text
include comparative transitions and a brief comparative introduction and conclusion.
