There are many situations that may cause a person to develop Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) including personal violence (e.g., assault, rape), community violence (e.g., mass shooting, riots), car accident, and natural disasters. Write a 2-3-page paper following APA style guidelines (Cover page, running head, 12-point Time New Roman font, one-inch margins, double-spaced, indent the first sentence of each paragraph) detailing your response to a community disaster.
Describe a community disaster such as a flood, tornado, hurricane, earthquake, terrorist attack, or mass shooting.
Describe PTSD; causes, symptoms, etc.
Explain how you would use the ABC Model, step-by-step, to help victims of this disaster.
Detail why early intervention after a crisis is important.
References in addition to the textbook are not required; however, you must include correctly formatted in-text citations and a reference page at the end of your paper. If you choose to use any additional references, you must include in-text citations and the sources must be listed on the reference page.
