Imagine you are a subject matter expert for a company who wants to design and develop a senior living facility in your town or city. The company’s mission is to create a living environment that enhances senior aging and development. You have been asked to provide recommendations for developing an optimal facility for this age group.
Write a 1,050- to 1,400-word report in which you provide an overview of the senior population and make recommendations for the senior living facility.
Summarize relevant demographic details for the late adulthood population in your town or city. Include any relevant cross-cultural factors that should be considered.
Summarize late adulthood developmental milestones and competencies according to developmental theorists you have learned about in this course.
Explain developmental challenges of the clientele. Demonstrate how the facility should accommodate these challenges.
Describe developmentally appropriate resources such as amenities and activities that should be included in the facility. Provide rationale for your resources.
Describe counseling needs for individuals in late adulthood. What counseling resources are necessary and why? How should the senior living facility provide these counseling needs?
