Assessment Details: ASSESSMENT ONE CASE STUDY: SAINSBURY’S 
This assessment will be a case study. A fictional employee from an organisation (one which exists in real life). Write a report (not in the first person) where you critically evaluate the resourcing and talent planning practices of Sainsburys and make recommendations for how they can improve in these areas.  
You can choose to discuss any of the following topics: 
• Recruitment 
• Selection 
• Flexibility 
• Talent Management 
• Employee Turnover and Retention 
• Employee Engagement 
This assessment will be a case study. A fictional employee from an organisation (one which exists in real life) will ask for your recommendations about a certain set of HR practices which we have already looked at in the module. You will need to write your recommendations in the format of a report (not in the first person). We will have the opportunity to cover report-writing strategies during one seminar.
The assessment criteria for Assessment One and Assessment Two are the same. This, and the 30%/70% mark weightings for the assignments, are intended to allow you to develop your writing approach and effectively use feedback during the module.

In summary, you are to choose 1 or 2 Resourcing and Talent Planning Practices as an employee of Sainsbury (fictional role) Your report should include ‘critical evaluation’ of your chosen HRM area including theoretical framework.
