Why is it important for people to live in communities and have communities to support them?

April 22, 2022
Christopher R. Teeple

In this module we are reading about communities. Catherine Latterell provides us with common assumptions about community. Sarah Adams, Shari Caudron, and Mackensie Griffen each show us in their expository essays with examples and stories different kinds of communities. As we reread their discussions, we come to experience how each community may be somewhat different. These 3 authors are each showing us aspects of the idea of community and how these aspects work in daily life.
Topic:
Why is it important for people to live in communities and have communities to support them?
Give supporting examples from the readings posted in this module as well as examples from your own experience.
[You must provide both, not just examples from your own experience.]

[Review in Module 3 how to format in-text citations for this essay. We’ve been practicing in-text citations in our discussions, too.]
List your citations in MLA format on the page after the last page of your essay, not on the last page of your essay.
The title Works Cited is centered and typed just like that. No quotation marks, no underlining, no bold, and your citation formats are listed below. Just copy them
Here is the format for the citations for this essay that you will list in Works Cited as if you are using the print edition of the textbook. Do not change this format.
These citations are listed in alphabetical order by author’s last name. Copy them exactly. You can copy and paste. After you copy and paste, make sure to change the font so that it is the same as the rest of your essay or you will lose points.
If your citations in Works Cited are not these, you will lose points.
