Who are the main consumer groups for your product (individuals or corporations)? For individuals provide specific demographic profile (age, gender, geographic location, ethnicity, etc. as appropriate for your good or service). For companies include size, type, etc.
How sensitive is your product to price? What is the price elasticity of demand? You are not expected to calculate this–do your best to find it in some published research. If you cannot find a numerical estimate, discuss whether it is very, somewhat, or not at all price elastic and why.
Is there an important complementary good to your product? If so what is it/are they?
Is there a key substitute product for your product? If so, what is it/are they?
Are there important product features that influence the demand? What are they?
How important is national income or unemployment to the demand for your product?
Based on these and any other relevant findings, write out a sample demand function for your product, such as Qd = f(GDP, Price, Price of a substitute, Price of a complementary product, etc.), where Qd is the quantity demanded of your product, measured in units not dollars. You do not need to ‘guesstimate’ numerical coefficients for the factors that drive the demand for your product–just list the demand factors relevant to your product or service in a demand function as shown above. In place of the words, “complement” and “substitute,” you should name the specific goods or services that are complements or substitutes
Your paper should be written in a professional tone and free of grammar and spelling errors
A graph of quantity sales and/or price of the product for the past 10 years would help support your paper
