This week’s discussion question is about the three pillars of equitable grading (see pages 66-67 and page 71 in Grading for Equity). As you become a teacher leader through completion of the Ed.S. program and through action at your school site, consider the following questions.
Background: My school site is a Title 1 school and is predominantly African American.
Question 1:
Which pillar of equitable grading do you believe teachers and administrators at your school would view as the strongest rationale to pursue potential changes in grading policy?
Pick pillar: Motivational
Question 2:
What actions might you take to encourage teachers and administrators at your school to consider a potential change in grading policy?
Maybe have some PLC to help improve a potential change in the grading policy and whatever else you think you could add.
Sorry the book pages are uploaded on separate files. So, you may have to print them out and put them in page order.
