This is 4 different papers 1 page each I am just ordering them altogether. Everything you need for each is below. These are ‘journal entries’ so the writing has to be more insightful, and what you understood/what you thought about it before and after reading based.
Journal Entry 1: Your journal from this week can focus on some of your goals in the discussion post as well as general reflections you may have had from the readings. I look forward to hearing about your unique insights.
Readings: https://bridge.georgetown.edu/research/factsheet-great-replacement-white-genocide-conspiracy-theory/
You can also use outside sources on white genocide conspiracy
This is the referenced discussion Post: This module highlights apocalyptic sentiments around the changing demographic and cultural shifts in the U.S. Specifically, you will learn about apocalyptic thinking and rhetoric that has entered mainstream discourse.
For your post this week, please consider the following points:
1) Which aspects of The Great Replacement are apocalyptic in nature?
2) Discuss similarities and differences between these aspects and other apocalyptic ideologies you have encountered.
3) Do you think that such apocalyptic interpretations could inspire some groups to political violence here in the United States?
Response to this discussion for understanding: In the article, “White Genocide Conspiracy Theory” by the Bridge Initiative Team, The Great Replacement is apocalyptic in nature. Genocide, according to Rephael Lemkin is “the destruction of a nation or an ethnic group.”. The Great Replacement is apocalyptic due to the actions its followers conduct. An example provided is about a 28 year old Australian man who attacked two mosques. Brenton Tarrant referenced the white genocide conspiracy theory in his manifesto, which was titled, “The Great Replacement”. Aspects of The Great Replacement that are apocalyptic in nature is the simple rule of getting rid on non-whites and anyone who does not come from American or European dissent or those who do not follow Christianity. Apocalyptic interpretations such as the Great Replacement following the white genocide conspiracy theory does in fact inspire political violence here in the United States. The Great Replacement has not only inspired U.S. citizens but it also inspired President Trump’s campaign during his presidency. An example that shows this is President Trump wanting to build a wall on the borders to prevent immigrants from coming in to the U.S. The Great Replacement and other apocalyptic ideologies like the Holocaust are similar in the fact that they both use violence in order to get rid of non-whites, Jews, and Muslims from America and Europe. The Holocaust in Nazi Germany’s goal was to rid Germany of Jews, which is similar to the white genocide conspiracy theory due to white supremacists wanting to get rid of non-whites.

Overall, I want this journal space to be an area where you feel free to address your private thoughts as you try to make sense of the material we cover.
