Compare the UK sneaker market (new sneakers) with the resale sneaker
(secondary) market in terms of revenues, sales, price, market shares of brands
and any other indicators that you consider relevant. You can choose any year (or
group of years) between 2015 and now. You should base your analysis on data
available on the Statista (2020) website, on the video and article below and also
undertake your own research.

Q2. The simulation game – 500 words
Describe the thinking behind the Business Plan, as set out at the start of the
simulation game. Include your generic strategy, the targets set, and your chosen
market segments.
Explain your team’s decisions during the game; include at least one decision per
category – management, purchasing, marketing, staff and financial.
If you did not play the game, please watch the simulation game videos and explain
how you would have played if you had a sneaker company.
Q3. Demonstrate that you can apply concepts learned in

Assume that when you set up your sneaker company, you decided to operate in
the men’s, women’s, and kids’ segments. Using CVP analysis concepts such as
break-even point, margin of safely and target profit, identify some of the reasons
that can make you decide to focus on the women’s segment only. Include the
formulae in your answer.

elements in the external decision ‘environment’ and explain how your company
could deal with them. how did you overcome these?

in which you had to work in a team for an extended period of time. If using an
example which is not from the BDM module, please explain what you had to do in
a group, for how long and how many people were in the team.
