While no one was actually seriously injured that night (confirmed by San Diego 9-1-1), the impact of traumatic stress was quite obvious and real in this scenario. Write a brief narrative reflecting on the following prompts (100 words minimum):
What was going on internally with the child—in her brain, her body, and in her thoughts and fears?
Did you recognize Lisa’s efforts to regulate her emotions and her changing emotions as the threat changed?
Describe how your own bodies and minds were reacting to this audio, as an outside observer and who was not threatened personally.
What other types of events or situations that might produce the same intense reactions?
Write about at least two things you learned, grasped, or got out of the assigned readings/videos content you feel were most important or useful for you. Make sure you introduce the idea/concept/term and then describe how it was useful or why you thought it was important. Make sure to cite the specific content in this part of your post: (Author, year) or (Organization, year). (100 words minimum)
Write about at least one aspect of the assigned readings/videos that you didn’t fully understand, you think need to be further clarified, you are uncertain about, or you completely disagree with. As above, be sure to specifically address why you picked this aspect of the reading to talk about.
