CREATE A REPORT: Select a perspective (from the Confederacy or the Union) and write a report to General Robert E. Lee or General U.S. Grant respectively on the Union naval attacks on Texas ports at Sabine Pass, Galveston, Corpus Christi, and Brownsville. Your 300 to 350-word after-action battle report should briefly outline the battles and your troop’s role in each action including the necessary photos, maps, etc. for Lee/Grant. What tactical advantages or disadvantages did your troops have and how did they affect the end results? As the commanding officer, what was your strategic goal, and was it achieved? Did these battles play any significant role in the overall Civil War? Explain and be sure to use concrete examples with factual material and don’t forget to include citations and sources—of course. Again, use whichever software you wish but save your file as a .pdf.
Use historical facts and provide citations/sources, including page numbers when necessary, for where you located your information.
