Nowadays, patients can quickly go online to know what hospital to choose in an emergency. The rates and ratings of healthcare, waiting time, and bedside manners are significant when comparing the scores and ratings of healthcare organizations. The Word-of-mouth reviews of services will become increasingly important due to competition between healthcare providers and the growing use of online communications. These reviews can have either a positive or negative impact on patient retention. Furthermore, patient experience affects whether patients return to an organization or recommend it to those in their social network. Searching the hospitals near my area, I was amazed that prestigious hospital names did not have the reviews according to their fame. At the same time, the others not so popular have similar reviews. The statistics that stand out when reading the reviews were the long time waiting for patient care; the second was the staff’s lack of compassion and professionalism. In addition, there were some comments about the safety and cleanness of the rooms and bathrooms, and last was the billing cost after the hospital visit.
Those reviews affect the cost of insurance in emergency copays, some hospitals order test scans that are not necessary to collect more from the insurance. Also, the length of time has a role in billing. In other words, I do believe that everything plays a role in inpatient care. I want to go to a hospital in case of an emergency and be treated quickly, especially if I am in pain. Second, I would like the facility to be clean and sterilize properly, and last, I would like to have professionalism and sympathy from those taking care of me. Patients who go to hospitals are vulnerable and hopeless. Therefore they put their trust in those taking care of them.
Even though these reviews may have a negative or positive impact, they can also help the providers to improve their patient care and satisfaction.

“There are no excuses for poor care” —- a serious and powerful statement said by the Adult Social Care’s Chief Inspector. Providing the best care must be the priority of every healthcare in the nation. There must be no reason to deliver services that every patient less deserves, nor services at a bare minimum. Every hospital must provide the most effective care and patient experience.
In connection with that statement, the services provided by the hospitals are rated based on the quality of their performance. In Medicare.gov, the ratings are categorized into two namely, quality ratings and patient survey ratings. After checking the hospitals within and nearby my local area, using the website provided, I have noticed that Access Home Health Care, LLC gathered 5 stars in both categories. The services they offer are nursing care, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, medical social services, and home health aide. It was stated there that A 4- or 5-star rating means that the agency performed better than other agencies on the 7 measured care practices and outcomes. On the quality ratings, there are criteria that state the higher, the better. There are also criteria that state the lower, the better. In both cases, this hospital performs better among others. While on the summary of patient survey rating, the gathered average is higher than or equal to the national average in all the criteria given.
Based on the data presented, I believe that these statistics greatly play a role in patient care. As the statistics provide a great favor to hospitals, it will ensure that patients are comfortable with their wellbeing in mind. It will make them feel assured as they know that it is their right to be treated with dignity and care.
