As you can see the paper is completed however the citations for the author Wiskin sound unclear and do not sound like direct quotes. The say as Wiskin (2016) or Wiskin(1) and than talk about what is written not a direct quotes from the book or article. The book I will attach as well as the databases that I pulled from my account that is addressed in the essay. However the article “cant quit the clicks” website www is addressed on work cited page so you can just go to that website if needed to fix the quotes. I just need paper to be fixed with the citations and to make it more clearer to the reader. Also, I need the paper shortened it is four pages without the work citied and i need it to be only to 3 pages the reader will not read past 3 pages so it needs to be shortened but needs the quotes in paragraphs from databases and book or article on line addressing book. also work cited does not need to be touched unless adding the book ..Wiskin, Mae. “Can’t Quit the Clicks.” Acting Out Culture. edited by James S. Miller,4th ed., Bedford, 2018. pp 417-420.
* Please just check the citations in paragraphs first to make sure they are correct if not please correct them with the correct direct quote . If possible okay to add another quote from the databases.*
the introductory paragraph must introduce the article from the textbook “Can’t Quit the Click….” , the full name of the author “Mae Wiskin” and a short summary of the article. These were pages I upload in the documents pp starting at 417 – 420.
For your fourth assignment, compose a three page, typed essay with additional sources from ACCC’s Database.
1. Purpose: Write an essay which you analyze and evaluate the data Wiskin presents in “Can’t Quit The Clicks: The Rise of Social Media Rehab.”
Consider the following question:
What point about social media use do these kinds of statistics illustrate?
What particular problem do they highlight?
Do these statistics offer effective support for the argument that “digital addiction” is real? Why or why not?
To support the idea that digital addiction may constitute an urgent public health problem. Wiskin cites statistics like the following: “Eighty percent of users check their phones within fifteen minutes of waking up, according to a 2013 study sponsored by Facebook. The same study also found that the average user checks their mobile device every six minutes.”
Reminders:
• Essay must be written in 3rd person
• Paragraphs should be between 5-12 sentences in length
• MLA format must be followed
• Typed Three FULL pages
• Must have TWO sources from ACCC’s Database
• Must have a Works Cited page
What particular problem do they highlight?
